ESG CONSULTING

The EU Taxonomy and the Climate Protection Act are bringing the sustainable impact of our actions on the environment, society and corporate governance to the forefront.

While ESG-compliant products are becoming the market standard, investors and issuers face new challenges.

With our AI platform EFRON, we assess ESG compliance and decarbonisation pathways efficiently and transparently.

Challenges

  • Fulfilment of reporting obligations
  • Avoidance of stranded assets
  • Safeguarding market values
  • Securing financing conditions
  • Ensuring lettability
  • Minimising the ecological footprint

Competitive Advantages

  • Avoidance of the lemon problem
  • Long-term assurance of tradability
  • Stabilisation of returns
  • Access to green bonds
  • Increasing rental attractiveness
  • Classification as an environmentally and socially responsible product
  • TRANSACTIONS

In transactions, we review properties and projects for their compliance with regulations (e.g. EU Taxonomy, Climate Protection Act, GEG2020 etc.) as well as for their optimisation potential, tailored to your needs. We are also happy to carry out classification in scoring models and ESG reporting according to recognised standards such as GRESB or ECORE. For stranded assets, we present a sustainable perspective – particularly in sales processes – based on the decarbonisation pathway/refurbishment roadmap.

  • CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

In forward deals, the course for planning and thus the ESG compliance of the property is set as early as the purchase contract negotiations. At this point, optimisation potential can be identified and implemented. Environmental risks must be minimised as far as possible, socio-cultural protection goals must be taken into account and sustainable building operations must be ensured.

With our construction project monitoring, we ensure taxonomy-compliant planning and execution through

    • Classification of the construction project within regulatory requirements
    • Alignment of planning with sustainability criteria
    • Identification and implementation of optimisation potential
    • Analysis and consideration of physical climate risks
    • Ensuring circular economy requirements
    • Consideration of user needs
    • Minimisation of operational resources and costs
    • Reduction of carbon risk factors

  • DECARBONISATION

With the criteria for sustainable economic activities, the transition to a low-carbon, resilient and resource-efficient economy is to be supported. In this context, the European Green Deal envisages reducing net greenhouse gas emissions in the EU to zero by 2050. This empirically reduces the remaining useful life of technical systems and components. A decarbonisation roadmap makes the resulting stranding risk tangible and avoidable.

    • CO2 accounting
    • Presentation of stranding risk
    • Evaluation of action options in the context of regulations
    • Determination of investment costs

  • ESG REPORTING

For greater transparency on the sustainability status of your portfolio, we set up reporting that meets the current requirements, e.g. of the EU Taxonomy. This is done in the form of individual factsheets, reports and reporting standards of recognised associations. For asset management, we also provide the data in digital form and maintain it on a software basis for ongoing reporting. In this process, we also map the impact of planned measures on the current scoring for you or prepare a certified scoring report.

    • EU Taxonomy reporting
    • GRESB reporting
    • ECORE reporting
    • DGNB ESG verification report
    • Ongoing ESG reporting for asset management
    • Individual reporting

Do not worry about information procurement and processing – we are happy to support you with this as well. Existing data sets and analyses can also be imported. Our in-house ECORE verifiers, GRESB reporters and DGNB ESG managers are experienced in preparing documentation for reporting and certification.
